ARACY 2009 National Conference - Thank you!

On behalf of the Organising Committee, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making the ARACY Conference such a success.

From September 2-4, 562 delegates joined us in Melbourne to examine the theme Transforming Australia for our children's future: Making prevention work.

We would like to thank all our speakers and delegates, as well as our wonderful youth ambassadors, who helped keep children and young people top of mind during proceedings.

We would especially like to thank our sponsors, without whose investment it would not have been possible to mount such a great conference.

Prevention is the most effective and ethical approach to addressing the problems affecting young people. This idea was the cornerstone of the conference and was resoundingly endorsed by conference speakers and delegates. We look forward to sharing with you the final version of the conference declaration - a call to action to governments, business, and the entire Australian community to put children at the centre of everything we do. The final declaration will be available online by 28 September.

Together, we can create a future where all children are able to achieve their full potential.
